Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Our Policy last 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since our purchase, unfortunately we can't offer you a refund or exchange.
Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Health and personal care items
  • Hosiery
  • Earrings and jewellery
  • Intimates and under garments

The item(s) must meet the following requirements outlined in the policy. Returns will not be accepted without an approved Return Number#

  • Contact us by email at sales@modistas.com.au to request a Return Number#
  • Provide proof of purchase or receipt notifying the reason and the item(s) you wish to return in your message
  • A return number# and a label will be issued in 2-3 business days
  • If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Once your return is confirmed and label supplied make sure to include the completed returns with the original order

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

We can assist you with your return of a faulty item by offering a number of solutions
  • If the fault is minor (as determined by sole discretion of Modistas), we may elect to repair the product where possible
  • If the fault is major (as determined by sole discretion of Modistas), you may elect to receive
    • A replacement product (if possible)
    • A refund of the original purchase amount (except if the original purchase was made using a credit note)

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at sales@modistas.com.au.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. If you are shipping an item over $150, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Modistas takes no responsibility for missing incoming deliveries of a return. If you receive a refund due to faulty product, the cost of return shipping will be borne by Modistas.

Amendment
This Policy may be amended from time to time by Modistas, without prior notice. Any purchase from us following any such amendments will be deemed to be confirmation that you accept those amendments. We recommend that you check Modistas’s current Terms, before making any purchase. Our agents, employees and third parties do not have authority to change the Terms.
